The IDI's are known not to be very fast so i was wondering how/ what people have done to make them faster!

I have a 89 F-250 with the 7.3 IDI non turbo. I am also looking for solutions to increase highway speed while keeping the RPM's in a safe operating range. I understand that a aftermarket turbo will increase HP and Fuel Milage. Will this mod also increase speed at lower RPM's?

I can't give any info on what to do but I had a friend that had a 93-94 IDI and it was faster than my 95 PSD with a 100 hp chip, exhaust and intake.
