Fuel Guage bias error
I have a '93 F-350 crew cab, long bed, 4X4 with the naturally aspirated 7.3 diesel and dual fuel tanks. The engine starts to sputter as if out of fuel when the fuel guage reads 1/4 tank. It does this regardless of which tank I'm running on.
Either the guage has a bias error, or the fuel system can't pick up fuel below 1/4 tank for some reason. Does anyone have any experiance with this problem and how to solve it? |

i have a 90 model that has exactly the same problem ,i just wait till it gets to about 1/4 and fill up , on the rear tank , i starts at 1/8 left , i think my problem is the sending unit in each tank is lying

I would try replacing one of the senders and see if it helps that tank's reading.
