I need a strait answer about power
Okay all, Im newer when it comes to diesels, not a compelte newbie but not a total beginner ether. I have heard a lot of things about turbo IDI vs PSD and power differences. I have heard that the IDI with a intake, exhuast, down pipe, IP turned up, and turbo housing fix will completelly stomp a PSD, and I have heard that even with all that, an IDI will be lucky to keep up. So Im looking for a stait answere can it keep up or not. I have also heard a TIDI has more lowend grunt than a PSD, but I thought that the computer on the PSD made it psoible to get more lowend without whating for the turbo to spool up? SO please someone point me in the right dirrection. am wanting to know because Im looking for a 92-97 F250(or even 350) that is a diesel. I like to simplicity of the IDI but I like to power of the PSD. The problem I have with the PSD is the expense of parts. Im looking for the truck to be a daily driver to work and back, but it also has the have the lowend for when Im hunting and maybe even a little mud, abd it has to have to power to pull my 30ft travel trailer and my horse trailer. I just dont want to get a TIDI and be disapointed with the power.
