wipers wont work i need help

i have and 86 diesel and it has ran good for me for a long time but recently the wipers quit working. i checked the fuses and they are all good, someone told me there is a box under the steering colum that controls the wipers and that might be bad has anyone heard of that ?

The wiper control board behind the wiper switch is what was meant, it would be a good idea to check the motor itself, my 88 (had it since new) was working and then parked overnight = kaput.

mine went out last week and it went click click and so i took a multi-meter and tested everything so the motor was bad ( i think) so yesterday i put a new motor on and later i will hopefully get it plugged up. so do what ( Haz Tanker ) said check the motor.
