Rode in one of them duraslacks today and MAN O MAN at the power!!! IS THERE ANY way in hell I can ever get that power out of my rig??? gzzzz i would love to spin 37s in every gear!!

there is but you'll have to spend more on the psd,that's one really nice thing about the duramax is for around 1000 bucks you can really add some power to it,what i'm trying to say dollar for dollar the duramax has more power...i think most guys will agree with me but there are a few that will argue..

I had a big comparison written out about how an LBZ needs this or that vs your truck with about 12 grand in mods maknig the same power. I'm not posting it now, because to better answer your question I can sum it up in 2 sentences.

Yes, put a real chip in it like DP Tuner. You'll have about 315rwhp/700ft/lbs which is ABOVE any duramax's RW #'s to date, including the LBZ .

However, a chipped LBZ will produce around 425 RWHP and I'm not even talking about EFI live

Whats the deal with the ALI's going in to limp mode, with the 4-5 shift?? Read alot of posts where the tranny went to limp mode when people were getting on it.

i had some of the same problems with my alies so i put the bully dog shift kit in and took care of the problem.i think what it is the demax is making alot of power and the tranny isn't built to hold any extra horse then it already has stock.

My 02 LB7 did 465/935 last October.

It has an intake,exhaust and EFIlive tuning.

Time for lift pumps.

Yeah the Duramax motors, especially the LB7, are really good performance motors. Some fella got his over a 1000rwhp!! That is just flat out crazy!!!

I thought EFI Live was only available on LLY's....Apparently they have software for the older trucks now too?
