Shoud I replace the gaskets before installing?
Just picked up a 86 F350 with a 6.9 / its been sitting since 1997 with no coolant in it(someone stole the radiator)..........Now I bought the truck for the engine(thats going into my dually) The engine runs great, has 60psi oil pressure and no blowby at all. I've heard alot about the head gaskets failing on these engines, so should I replace the head gaskets while its out? Which would be the best gasket to install?

That's a hard one. some of those engines never had any problens, and some just wouldn't hold. If you can afford it and want peace of mind, go ahead and change 'em. If the engine has a few miles on it, it is probably OK. I think this engine got a bad rap like th 6.0's, I only know of one that had head gasket problems and it blew them one after another. I have known many people with good ones.
