so i guess the more precise themes arent gonna work??

If people are not gonna get pics for the precise themes we may need to figure out a more generic and simple process. There is a lot of time put into the rig of the month, and if guys are not gonna go out and get pictures of thier trucks to win free stuff, i honestly dont want to put the time into random selections and figuring out cool themes. Its up to you guys as members. two or three entires are just rediculous. Vendors offer to sponsor this and give you free stuff, gift certificates, or DEEP discounts. What am i missing here about this that makes it hard for members to participate??

I can't blame you there but asking us to go out and get our trucks full of mud is not all that practical. As it is, I barely have enough time to be with my wife and kids much less go look for a mud pit somewhere in the middle of nowhere and trash my truck. I probably speak for many of us including you.
Now that is not to say I don't appreciate all your guys time and the ROTM is cool so maybe we can keep it simple. Also, you may want to consider having a percentage of the overall participants rather than just 4 all the time. just a thought.

Regards
Scott

i just dont have the time to go out muddin, i work alot like all of you. Also, i dont really like the cleanup. I tend to get pretty nasty when i go all out and i just hate spending all weekend cleaning. plus i dont have anyone to go out with, and no one to come and get me if i break or get stuck. MAybe we could get our thinking caps on and make a poll of what the gys and gals want for ROTM. Just a thought. Oh yeah, almost forgot, i also appreciate everything you all and the sponsors/vendors do here for us. Thanks again.

problem is scott.....i didnt ask you to find a mud hole. the title is gettin down and dirty.....mud hole works....truck pulls, climbing up a nasty dirt road, or working in a muddy construction site...i dont care....

I know not all members will participate every month, and im not trying to single out any individual users....BUT the fact remains the first theme was a pic in the outdoors. What better excuse during a month can you have to go take your family for a drive....with a whole month of weekends to do it...than to win free stuff.

Next was the "blowing smoke" theme. Everybody in thier brohter around here braggs about blowing black smoke....but nobody could take the hour to go take a pic of your truck doing it???

Now we have gettin down and dirty. I know not everyone is gonna participate, but i know there are a ton of guys on here that could and should....

Not every member fits all and or any of these catigories....BUT most members could have participated in at least one of them and got some good old fashioned family time as well......

It would really suck if i just started picking members for the ROTM....because im gonna ge accused of favoratismn and a lot of guys with nice trucks could be left out if i miss thier garages. I dont want that. I would like the format we have to work...but i cant do "7.3, 6.0, obs" trucks again and again...that is just boring

We have a ROTM theme thread....AND this months theme was one of the ideas. If we cant get guys for the "blowing black smoke" theme....or the "outdoor pic theme"...then what themes are we gonna get guys for??

sorry, but i guess i am a little hot about the fact that guys cant take thier family for a ride for half a day on a weekend and get some pics for a contest to win free stuff.....they get to spend time with thier family and enter a contest...

i KNOW not everyone will enter every thread..BUT there is no reason out of over 500 active members we cant find seven to ten guys (which is still weak) to randomly pick four out of for each month

Sounds like I better get started. It has rained for 3 days straight here, and my truck loves the mud! I'll try to get some pic's tomarrow.
