I Really Hate.........

I really hate working nights! Here it is Saturday night, actually Sunday morning now and I am stuck at work. I guess I should be ( and am ) thankful I have a job, but it just ai'nt natural to be working when your supposed to be sleeping! I really don't do much, as long as the machine is running, so I guess you coulod say I just show up and they pay me, but these 12 hr shifts get to be LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG sometimes. I go on Tuesday morning to talk to the admissions guy at NADC about taking their course to be come a Certified Master Auto Tech. I am looking foreward to it, but it ai'nt gonna be easy but then again nothing wortwhile ever comes easy. Well I guess I'll close my rant for now, but I bet there are others that feel the same way I do.

i also hate working nights, i work swings... hate the hours, but really like my crew, so that makes it real easy to go to work.

I don't mind the night shifts. Its the transition from nights to days that kills me. I think it would be a lot more tolerable if were to work two weeks or a month of nights then switch to days for the same time period before switching back. Right now, we work a set of nights, then a set of days, then a set of nights, then I set of days. It is starting to get old. However, I've noticed the older I get the less I'm enjoying these night shifts. Hang in there fellas!

Man there is no way I could do the swing shift thing for an extended period of time. In 07 we had a guy quit who was in pretty bad health, he has since passed away, and it left us short handed of course. I am not sure how long we did it but there were three uf us that covered all four shifts. Another guy and myself worked that way, some days and some nights. We took turns working 48 and 60 hrs per week and if one of us wanted to take vacation or something the other coverd that as well. I am not real sure how we did it it all seems like a blur looking back.
