hi im looking into buyin a 1997 ford f-350 powerstroke diesel it has 125K miles on it and a 6speed standard tranny new steering components, rear main seal and clutch and a new appolstered seat and hes asking $7000 for it it is in great mechanical condition but it has minor body damage on the bed and comes with a new plow i was wondering if it is worth it

Sounds like a pretty good price to me. I am not sure that the 97s came with a 6 speed, maybe a 5speed and maybe I am wrong. But, that is pretty low milage with one that is a 97. I would be sure to check the maintance on it, oasis report and have a god diesel guy go through it. The only other thing, if it has been used as a plow truck a good bit, that can be rough on one.

yea i talked to the guy with the 1997 and it was used for hay deliveries and fencing but my boss ses he allways keeps his equipment in tip top shape and im going to check it out after X-mas to take it for a test run
