Roaches

Well I believe this belongs in the night crew

My buddy just got a town home this winter... well its getting warmer out and he's noticing some ROACHES!!! He can't really help it, he doesn't leave crap out but it's a townhome (connected side by side with another home, not an end unit).

What can he do CHEAPLY b/c he's broke to combat this? I was thinking some super sticky tape with a food bit in the middle LOL.

Are they eating the dog food maybe? He has a dog that eats his food throughout the day so maybe that's why they're coming in?

I'd get some Bengal spray and go all the way around the walls cabinets, under the stove fridge etc. It doesn't smell too bad.

Here's an idea that falls under cheap and non toxic. My daughters left a toad in my basement, that they collected from outside. I was annoyed at first...till one night I watched the little bugger catching spiders and eating them . He went to town and spent the entire winter in my basement. I would recomend that he get a pet toad from the yard and put it in the kitchen for a couple weeks. You just cant get any cheaper than that.

I would doubt it is the dog food. Especially if he dosent have crap laying around. I would go to Lowes/Home Depot and buy some bug spray. If hes renting the town home, call the landlord, explain the situation and try to get an exterminator into all the homes. Good Luck with the roaches, they can be a pain in the a$$.

After some quick research, it seems that they are Oriental roaches...

This is what I didn't want to read!....
Quote:
In early spring, only adult Oriental ****roaches are found. By late spring, nymphs are abundant. As nymphal numbers increase, the adults die off and by August any adults are new ones. By fall, almost the entire population is adult.
