Drive thru ordering in a diesel...

You guys kno what I hate? When all you wanna do is get some grub at the mcd's or BK and you have to turn your truck off so they can hear you. Happens every time to me. Earlier they were like "sir I can't hear you there's some kind of static." I said "that's not static that's what American freedom sounds like!"... All they said was "sir?"So I ended up turning off my truck and just ordered my food......

I hate having to turn my truck off also. But anymore I just park, leave it run, and go inside. I love the sound of any diesel just as much as the next guy, but I kind of understand where they are coming from because I used to work at the bank, and when they came through the drive-thru, I would always have to ask them to please turn the truck off. Not only could I not hear the person with the truck, but I couldn't hear the other person in the next lane to the diesel engine.

Obviously you guys never did the customer service work through highschool.

You really can't hear the person trying to talk over a running diesel. And the Tim Horton's I worked at had 2 lanes in the drive trough, often you couldn't hear the other lane because of a diesel.

The guys aren't just being dicks about your awesome truck guys, they really can't hear you! Lol

I've got drive-thru mode on my Gearhead chip. It does come in handy. But its a pain to make the turns though with a cclb. Most of the time I still have to go inside. :p
