Official Stupid Things You Did Today Thread

Okay, so I do something stupid pretty much on a daily basis, and I know I'm not the only one. So here's a thread for admitting and posting stupid things that you've done recently.

My most recent, trying to get hand sanitizer out of a pump bottle without much left in it. I start hitting the pump fast and what happens *SPLAT* a huge puddle in my hand and jumps right in my eye. How painful was it? Just think shampoo in your eyes times 10,000!

Okay, so what stupid things have you guys done recently?

Put the o ring for my 7.3 fuel filter in upside down. A ton of smoke, 12 gallons of diesel, very large trail for about 3 miles, huge puddle in the driveway, and a soaked hood liner later, its all good....

Well i might as well chime in. i was degreasing the engine yesterday and i took the intake off and stuffed a towel in the tube so water doesnt get in there. Got done washed it off. Started it up to get the water off...and yea tons of white smoke and i realized i started with the damn towel in the intake still

It ran for a good 20 seconds before i realized it and shut if off. Lucky it just sucked the towel down a little and barely chewed a corner of the towel. I seriously thought i was majorly F-ED

Well wasn't today but after driving around all day last week, my f350 has a down pipe exhaust only, and the lower part was loose and fell off 30 feet from my driveway....

I get out and bare handed go pick it up, made 3 steps before the searing pain hit me, I couldn't feel anything I touched for about a week lol

While doing my stud/gasket job I was strick on not getting fluids on the driveway (my landlord is ruthless) Got everything back together and got everything topped off with fluids except coolant. Pulled out drip pans and tarps out from underneath the truck. Topped of coolant and heard it draining out as fast as I put it in. Ooppssss! Forgot to close the valve on the recently installed fumoto. Coolant filled, check! Primed fuel pump and commenced operation restart-strong smell of fuel rushed in the cab, huh? I wondered, looked out of windshiled between hood and engine, fuel was spraying everywhere...ooops! Forgot to tighten down fuel line to fuel bowl.

Became a Dodge Salesman today....

The only 2 Ford dealers close just wouldn't work.... one is so small the money would be terrible and the other one everybody hates cause their service sucks and they rip everyone off.... though they are pretty big... I might try switching over to them anyways in the near future....
