Locking versus deleting?

If you are going to lock and edit a thread to make sure nothing bad is said about people you know why not just delete it completely?

I have kept quite for a long time about the over moderation on this site but that was just abuse of power.

I will take my ban now because I know y'all cant take criticism.

Yea I know what you are talking about. Pretty biased cleaning of a thread. I have seen John over at Cobb's get pounded over and over for 10 + pages and no one jumps in for his rescue. It's all in who you know.

I learned real quick not to post my political viewpoints on this site. Seems if you're not a hardcore right wing extremist, you're a liberal socialist and need to be banned. Seems this board doesn't believe in opposing viewpoints .

On a few occasions I've unsubscribed from a thread and just logged off, rather than risk a banning. This site is just too helpful with my truck to risk getting banned for thinking differently .

Care to explain this? I am curious. I am not talking about the thread that has your panties in a wad either. What are some other instances? Examples and links would be great.

Well those links dont exist. They are gone as well.

Here is an example though. If I said you had your panties in a wad how would you react?

I hate to agree with them and p!ss anyone off but its true. They are spot on with the political thing. You guys let people get murdered but when they get their feelings hurt (and you like them),You intervene.

For example earlier today I was owning Choctaw and his bunch of freaks and the mod "Dave" jumped in and challenged me to refute Choctaw's "Facts" which were as we well know, anything but facts. After he called me a chicken, he then logged me out and suspended me. (not telling anyone else) That was a pretty much a poontang thing to do.

But I do love this site. There are just some people that are so far "out there", the Hubble Telescope couldn't make light of their views.
