WTF is with companies phone systems!?!

Does it drive anyone else freaking nuts when you are calling companies and have to go through 3 automated listings and enter all kinds of BS info to get ahold of a human? WTF happened to a nice receptionist answering the damn phone!?! I have been on the phone for the last 6 hrs and I swear I could have saved half that if I didnt have to listen to all the automated crap that did absolutely nothing. Ok, sorry, rant off. Back to work!

the thing with dialing 0 is a lot of places setting up automated voip/pbx systems are changing that to not work anymore. I only know this because I've been told to program systems that way when setting them up. Bummer.

6 hours on the phone is better than 5 minutes with someone from India and can not understand them lol

I know exactly what you mean man, about 4 weeks ago, I went to an ATM and tried to deposit 4 checks, totaling about $2500. Suddenly ATM shut off, with my card and all checks in it. Then, I spent 4 hrs on an automated system, and every once in a while got an Indian, then back to automated system!!

sometimes its nessary to go through automated systems to get you to the correct department...depending on the company size. but theres a limit. too much of it is fckin annoying.

I agree with that one. It doesnt bother me as much when I am calling a large company with a clear easy to use phone systems. What kills me is when I call my local pizza joint with three people in the building and I have to listen to a recording and press 1 to get someone...
