What do you think of UTI?

I might go there for their diesel program. What have you heard about or experienced with them?

Personally if u didnt want to stay in IL i would go w/ University of Northern Ohio they really have a good program or if u wanted to go a cheaper route go w/ Illinois Central College or like me Parkland College and ICC and Parkland have 100% job entry rate but really cant bash UTI as i have never known or heard anybody of goin ther

University of Northwestern Ohio would be a better choice IMHO

I'll look into ICC and Parkland, thanks. The UTI campus is only a couple minutes away from me, so that's what has me leaning that way.

i went to uti but for the collision side. to be honest the diesel program is good, when i was in houston.(thats where the collision programs are held) a few of my friends were in the diesel program. but to be honest they are not a cheap school to go to. i dont know what UNOH is like in prices but i know UTI is high.

FWIW, UTI is referred to as "Un-Trained Idiot" by a few of the local shops...mind you this was probably 13 years ago, but still.......ask around the local shops what they think of it, not just those who went.

i toured unoh a month or so ago. nice school. have an open house the 23rd. i love it there

personally wanna know why UTI is called that, because alot of the students that go there think its like a normal 4 year university and party everyday. i know out of the people i hung around with when i was in school were not "idiots" when it came to cars. everyone i talked to actually knew how to work on a car correctly. granted im not saying the who student population of the school is like that. but majority of them are. i know one guy in particular that i still talk to(we both graduated 2 years ago) went into that school not knowing how to work on a car, he never even picked up a wrench in his life due to having other people do it for him. he came out looking like he knew his **** because of his devotion towards the trade. it all depends on the student.
