![]() To answer the questions: As a Gunnery Sergeant in the Marines (E-7), you have a choice in which rank you are promoted to. Either Master Sergeant or 1st Sergeant. Both are E-8's, but don't ever call a 1st Sergeant "Top." A Master Sergeant will be promoted to Master Gunnery Sergeant and a 1st Sergeant will be promoted to Sergeant Major.--Snake Last edited by Snake : 10-09-2009 at 10:10 AM. |
