Possible move to upstate New York....

Im your all american Gun toting, drive a lifted OBS, like to have my guns and trucks American.

I am very possible going to land a job in the outskirts of new york. Im one of the few left and my territory will be everything outside of the main city. Where is a great place to live? i want a house with a bit of property but dont need to pay premium prices. I would like a 2 car garage at least but it seems many I see are single car houses. Is this normal? They also all seem to be older houses, some modified and modernized a bit. but still small garage.... It's looking like north of Syracuse in the Adams or Watertown area.

What are lift laws? truck laws? what is average registration on a car? like my 97 OBS? I think they do inspections as well correct? anythin else you can help me with? Culture change for sure!

The only downside to the move is my new drag quad will be parted out and sold as ill have to sign a no compete clause. I'm fine with that though as ill build a bigger badder model of that brand!

I live by Hornell Ny, which is pretty rural, i wouldnt have it any other way though forget the ciry life, been there done that.

Anyways my annual inspection is $12, which is visual inspection, emissions exempt. Houses are relatively cheap but finding a decent job you may be traveling, forget lift laws around here they will never stop you unless your bigfoot with ag tires or something crazy. i payed 121 for registration for commercial plates on my 03 f250, first registration my be a little steaper. North of Syracuse would be a nice area, close to the lakes, sporting venues etc. Love the state hate the politicians, get ready to be taxed out the ^@#.

Good luck

By the way if you own pistols dont bring them here until you get your permit, they are very strict on pistols, longguns are good, rifles and shotguns etc, the only ones that get trickey are AR's and AK's etc, i would do some reseach on them if you own them and want them to be legal here. Or own at your own risk
