Heading to CO from MT

Hey guys just got a job offer with Halliburton. Heading to Brighton, CO end of May beginning of June. Looking for some advice on some good areas to live with a fairly short commute. Heard some good things about the Thornton area. I'm all ears looking for some insight on the Denver area and I'm hoping to get involved in the Chapter when I get there.

I'm finishing up my final semester of school then I'm heading down the end of May. I'm suppose to start beginning of June.

I will be a cementer. My first choice was frac, but when I interviewed Brighton wasn't an option but thats where I'm headed so I'm still extremely happy.

Do you work for a energy service company?

Since you will be based out of Brighton for work, Ft Lupton is a good town with good schools. Ft lupton Schools won a Middle school of the year award for the 2010/11 school year. Not sure if you have kids. I'm in Ft Lupton and love it. It's cheap. Also if you live in Weld County there IS NO diesel emissions and tags are cheaper. I'm saving 200 bucks a year on diesel emissions, and roughly 42 dollars per truck on tags by living in Weld County.

Ft Lupton is 25-30 mins from Denver straight down us 85.

If you need any advice feel free to ask. I drive by a Halliburton building almost daily.

Thanks man. I will look into ft. Lupton. I'm not sure if I'll be able to talk my girlfriend into. I probably could if it was a small town closer to the mountains. I think she is pretty excited about doing the whole city thing. Even though I'd rather steer clear
