I would love to go, I am going to the outer banks in august and september whats one more trip down to north carolina!! I have to see how much comp and vaca time I have left!!!

Here is a dumba$$ question though, I am wary of bringing the 250 down on either of these trips because of the high mileage, 211,250ish now. I have the 150 at about 80k, stupid me believes the theory that the less miles the more reliable but so far the 150 has been a POS since the day I bought it in 2003 and I have owned the 250 since 204k and have really had no problem at all whatsoever.... Thoughts and comments appreciated.

Run an oil test and change all your fluids!!!! I'd do it if it were me. I would weigh it out. Look like a tool in a 150 or a man in a 250.....jk. Its really how you feel about the truck. If your leary then I would say the 150. Also think about fuel costs and consumption.

I have changed almost all the fluids, only ones left are antifreeze and front differential. I did transmission, transfer case, rear differential, power steering and multiple oil changes so far. I need to change the belt soon and will do the stupid upper hose that is run through the belt area to the hose that goes around, figured I would do the antifreeze then.

idk, the 150 is nice and all, body lift and bigger tires so it looks not so unmanly, I have loaned it out to my friends dad for months now so I havent even driven it, only benefit to that is they own a shop and all the maintence is free. I did new brakes last year rotors and pads all around, a high output alternator and a belt along with an electric cooling fan but I have always had the stupidest problems with it whereas the 250 has had a starter solenoid go bad which stranded me for a little bit.

The 250 doesnt use any oil which is odd but good I guess. I go 3k and at the most its like half a quart and it doesnt leak so I am assuming that the oil test would come out ok if I sent it away.

I will have to ponder these things over.
As it is I need to borrow my dads Mazda 6 this weekend to goto a wedding because I cant fit a truck in the town I am going to for the wedding and my parents refuse to drive the truck because my mom says I am a wannabe redneck lol. I own a condo and live with my brother and would borrow his mazda 3 but he doesnt even know what a truck is or even how to drive one so I had to go the dad route and drop the truck off tonight.
