Well I don't know what you Burlington/Ocean guys consider it, but I live in Hamilton Township about a mile south of 195, so I'm South Jersey as far as I'm concerned. I went to college in Essex County which was probably the the most awful experience of my life... The northwestern part of the state is awesome (My gf is from up near High Point) but you can have the northeastern part.

You know you're from South Jersey if...

You give people a dirty look when they call pork roll "taylor ham"

People from North Jersey give you weird looks when you say "phone" and "home"

You drink "wooder"

If someone asks you for a lager you hand them a Yuengling

You know what a sneakbox is

You've ever been stuck in sugar sand

There are at least six Wawas within 10 miles of your house

You know what a Wawa is

You know county highways by the route number (539, 571, 537, etc...)

You go to Seaside to stay up all night...and fish on Island Beach

You have friends and relatives who are Pineys

You know what a Piney is

Can you guys think of any others? I can honestly say all of those are true for me-except I have one thing I need to be up front about with you South Jersey guys. I'm a die hard Devils and Giants fan!

Actually, the families vacation home is there. I lived there for 2 years in the mid 90s though... (and we still own it)

And my sis is South Jersey...Goshen/CMCH area.

So there are Jersey guys out there!! We guys from the North and Central Jersey (so far) have been trying to put together a New Jersey Area PSD Club. We've met a couple times but turn out has been modest. Most of us, so far, are on TDS of TDG forums. We're meeting for dinner to BS about diesels, etc. Maybe in the spring, do a dyno day or wrenching day. Just get together and meet up with other diesel heads. All are invited.

Next meeting/get together will be, Tuesday, JAN 23rd, at 7:00pm, at TGI Fridays on Route 202, at the Somerville circle.
