Need help fitting tires
I have a 2007 F250 cc stock suspension and I would like to keep it that way for right now. I have these stock 17" rims Detroit Wheel and Tire: HOL 3599PSP
And im looking at ordering a set of these tires Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels My Question is how big of a tire can I go without having to get a leveling kit? Any help would be greatly appreciated. And if any one else has stock wheels and big tires with no kits send me a pic and let me know what you have i might go for a different tire. Im looking to raise my truck a little but im also looking for a wide tire to make my truck look stocky |

you can do 38" tires on all stock suspension if you did cutout flares... or you can take your fenders and bed off and run as big as you want... as for stock with no leveling kit you can do a 34" tire... if you want to do 35's you need at least a leveling kit... make sure your backspacing is correct or you will be running quite a bit

Im looking at running the 33X12.50R17LT but im not sure if the tire will fit on my stock 17" rims.

a 12.50 wide will not fit on stock rims... they are too narrow of a rim... you will need at least an 8.5" or 9" wide rim... 9" wide rim would be best

What about this size LT285/70R17?

a buddy of mine had stock 17" rims and a set of 35" bf goodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 on his truck and when we where swapping them out with what he has now i tried them on my truck and they fit no problem. Are they not as wide?

no they are just as wide... will they mount? yes... but its dangerous to mount a tire that is designed for a wider rim... however cheap people all over do it... and some get away with it without an issue... others have blow outs, and tread separate, and I have seen pics of vehicles that have rolled due to it... my life, and my familys life, nor my friends lives are worth the risk to me... you can buy steel wheels for real cheap if you cant afford wider rims....
