Areas in Vagas

what places in Vegas are good to live and raise a family??? i found a few listings... one north of vegas (not sure if the area is nice) and another north west near the mountains.....

i want something like this with RV access and a pool: http://searchlink.las.interealty.com...AgentID=212323
this is the address to this place: 3412 Hansa Av,nv 89081

found these too
http://searchlink.las.interealty.com...AgentID=212323
4856 Crystal Field St, nv 89031

and this
3300 Lingo St,nv 89129
http://searchlink.las.interealty.com...AgentID=212323

we def want to stay in the 175k range... that way we can afford to live very comfortably and maybe buy some more desert toys and a Toy hauler

what do you guys think? this is either going to happen this summer or next summer...

just my personal opinion... but your first link is the way better choice!....

Try finding something in the extreme NW part of the valley, the extreme SW part of the valley or the newer sections of either Summerlin or Henderson's extreme SE corner.

you can also check out crime stats using metros crime blotter

SW

I'm partial to the SW side of town. I'm not sure on the schools down this way since my kids are only 4 and 1. The parks are nice and I'm close enough to the mountain that I can ride my quad/bikes from the driveway to the trails.

I've been here four years and am happy with the Mountains Edge area. The extreme NW will have the best bang for the buck.

All the suggestions offered so far sound great, but the thing to really consider is how far do you want to commute to work back and forth. Living in Pahrump maybe nice but then you lose two hours of your life driving back and forth, not to mention the cost of fuel if it goes to 7.00 dollars a gallon like the regime leader would like.

It is a give and take. You have to weight it your self,,, I moved here because my family came first. The plan was after the kids take off for collage, Wife and I were going to move to the Summerland or Greenvalley area. Now with the crime rates going up in Vegas we're rethinking the idea of moving.
