so lately my 7.3 has been acting like a 6.0
It's broken down & left me stranded twice in the last 30 days
![]() ![]() First time was at work, turned out the oil feed line from the HPOP to the passenger head ruptured. No oil, no start. The replacement hose was less than 12" long & cost $140, Arne installed it for me. Soup was nice enough to tow me. I wonder if I should have replaced the drivers side feed line... Last week coming home from Utah (just north of Mesquite) I smelled oil burning. Pulled over & oil was all over the motor, underside of my truck & the front half of my TH!! Turns out the IPR block on my HPOPs had failed internally & began leaking - a LOT. Luckily that was replaced for free, but the tow home was a bit pricey. As I war replacing the IPR block last night, I noticed that the SS braided fuel line that feeds my passenger head is frayed in one spot. I guess I ought to replace that before it fails. We're headed up to Marysvale, UT next week, so I figure that while traveling there (or back), I should see a failure wither of the fuel or oil line. But I still love my truck. |
