Grayson I moved your thread to the national events sub forum. I also have a question for anyone who was there last year in May... Last year was the first year they moved the sled pull away from the SoCo fairground and did it down the road in Franklin. The question is how late did the pulls go on Saturday last year? I'm debating on switching hotels and spending Saturday night in Franklin but don't want to do that if the pulls are over early enough that we can head back to Bowling Green for dinner and drinks. Just looking to hear from someone who was there, or knows how late in to the evening the sled pull ran last year... TIA!

I do not remember the exact time, but it was not late at all. I would say 30 minutes-1 hour after dark.

They were over by 9:30 at the latest, both nights. I think it had just barely gotten dark the second night.

And we stayed at the campground that's like 5 miles from the pull track.

Haven't decided if I'm gonna camp out again, or just drive up both days.

How far are you from B.G. Tom?

If it's not that late of a night then I'm guessing we'll drive back to BG. Not sure where we're staying yet but probably the Best Western or Ramada right off of I-65.

Id skip the Ramada in BG. It wasn't that nice of a place. I had to switch rooms two times.

I'm about an hour and a half to two hours west of BG.

I've been there before once, 3 years ago. Our room was fine. Nothing fancy but it was cheap. Hot water, clean sheets, and don't need much else for a couple of nights. IIRC the free breakfast was edible too...

Very true. I didnt lake having to move rooms a couple times.
