I had to watch it a couple of times, and I think it is a pretty good movie. A little different, but good.

the point is that it is exactly no country for old men... tommy lee jones realizes at the end that he doesnt have what it takes anymore, he isn't at fault he just realizes he cant compete in these sort of games anymore. great movie.

Wellll... In my opinion the movie sucked! Absolutly gave no justice to the book. If anyone here liked the movie READ THE BOOK! I am not a big reader but the book kicked serious ***. Also check out some other Cormac McCarthy books, he sort of has a series. I would bet you Texas boys would like em, they have the same type of setting about them. My favorite is "Cities of the Plain", but for sure check em out if you get time!

Well I'll just do that then. I did spend the first 30 years of my life in Texas but didn't visit West Texas enough. It has a harsh beauty all its own.

Yes, hence the name "no country for old men".......if you listen to his speech at the start of the movie, he said there was a time when the police didn't even have to carry guns, but not any more.

Although, I have seen the movie a handful of times, but can someone please explain what the hell Tommy Lee Jones is talking about with his damn dreams, I get so lost
