Chux Trux

I figured I would post this up under here to forewarn anybody who thought about taking their truck to Chux in Independence.

Don't do it.

Took mine in for a simple alignment and to swap my spare tire onto the regular rim, put that tire on the spare, and put it on the truck.

First trip...
Couldn't do the alignment, claimed they did the tire but they hadn't.

Second trip...
Mutilated the cam spacer or whatever it's called and most likely parts underneath it. Also ground a good portion of the upper control arm. According to them the pressed on part that was replaced a day earlier was seized on... They did the tire swap and claimed to do the alignment. It pulled harder to the left than it used to pull to the right.

Third trip...
Adamantly defended their work, even though both the store manager and the assistant store manager admitted that they would not expect such shoddy work if they took their truck to a shop. Denied damaging anything and kept up the excuses, even though they saw and acknowledged the damage. Refunded the money with an extreme amount of attitude.

Now...
I have to figure out how much damage they actually did cause, and then go from there. Also learned yesterday that apparently their mechanics are so amazing that they left a lug-nut finger tight, and didn't torque down any of them properly.

Great, high-quality work in my book... if I was paying them to break it that is.

Ive had two trucks, F150s, leveled by them. The did a nice job for me. However, that was before i realized doing stuff myself wasnt that hard and also buying stuff online and from other stores was WAY cheaper. Theyve missed out on at least 4 trucks, lifts, wheels, etc.... for me. Too high, no negoitiation. usually it was theres no way you can get that for that price.......EBAY> CRAIGSLIST....check em! I normally buy my floor mats there. they are competitive on those and the fellas that always helped me were nice. Other then that i dont go there either.
