I'm back....-ish
OK...so I know a lot of you have been missing me. Well the story goes like this:
I finally seperated from the Navy as of the 21st of DEC and since I haven't been working a job that a retarded monkey could do, I haven't been on much. Also, I've been unemployed since then and I can't seem to get myself a good 'ol J.O.B. But I am back. Jessie and I took Brisco down to Texas for a few days to get my Neon Kenny so that I have something a little more economical to drive for work, when I actually DO get a job! LOL. So, now, I'm unemployed, can't actually get a job until the Navy sends me my DD214 (which is supposed to be in the mail), I have a car that needs some work sitting in my friend's garage, I still have a baby on the way, and I've been walking on egg-shells with the g/f b/c of the baby hormones. About the truck: Brisco finally got out of the shop the day before Christmas. They just put in a 'new' reman tranny and voided the labor warranty...which I have to talk to a lawyer about. He still had the small boost leak from the nitrous fitting the whole nearly 1600 mile drive...which I fixed in Texas by taking the solenoid off of the boost pipe and remote mounting it to the fire wall. I also JB Welded the fitting in the boost pipe to seal it all up. I got about 15mpg on the drive down to Texas empty and about 13 or 14 mpg on the drive back, grossing about 14,000lbs with the car, trailer, and misc crap in the bed. Brisco towed the load and trailer flawlessly, with only a few trips to the 600+ degree range on the post EGT gauge, and they were all at low speeds in 4th or 5th gear and on LONG steep grades. All in the TOW/HAUL setting on my chip. Brisco now has over 217,000 miles on him. OK...THE CAR: Well, as Eric (Delaware King Ranch) said in a text, the Infimous Neon, is sitting in the garage at my buddies house. I've already fixed one of the issues with the car and found a few other small ones. Apparently while it was parked, a little rain water got inside and caused a little issue with mold and mildew. Nothing is really ruined or messed up, the interior just needs some TLC along with the rest of the car. Issues mechanically are, one small fuel leak, the timing/head issues, and wiring mistakes I made in the past. After that, it's mosly just the normal tune-up stuff. Well...that's about it for now. |
