I made it to about 10miles in to DC and got the call it was all cancelled and nothing much going on, heard about the buck but that was still like 2 hours away so we turned around and drove for another 2 hours and made it home in time for happy hour at outback. Hopefully next time it won't rain us out

Thanks FullSpeed, they say it is pretty much just a matter of time now. She really doesn't have enough strength to even get up or the lung capacity to talk very much either.

I had planned to go to the Buck with Marty, but while we were wasting time my parents called saying she was taken to the hospital (3rd time in as many weeks). So I just headed home but hoped to meet up with Marty at the Buck that night if everything went well at the hospital, but I didn't get out of there till almost midnight.

Also I woud post up my pictures but my cable to connect my camera to my PC was packed away last week from school and I forgot to bring it back up with me.

It was really nice meeting everyone there, and yes, that Jetta disappeared pretty darn quick...I didn't even see it to begin with lol.

No big deal at all, your family is FAR more important then the buck.

Yes, I went to the buck and I have a story to tell about that too. More on that later.

Matt I am so sorry about that. You took leave and drove a hell of a distance! I sure hope next time you can make it. If nothing else, we'll have to plan a meet that's down there by DC so us northern fellas will be in some of ya'lls shoes in the travelling department.

Hey man, when you get back, give me a ring. I'd like to meet up with you and see if we can go to the track or something!

The buck...

I saw my competition... all but two were cummins in the class I have to pull. 1 powerstroke that barely pulled 100 feet (looked/sounded mean, but fell on its face after it started pulling). 1 Dmax that was the test puller and would have placed 2nd with its test pull but ended up pulling again and smoked the clutch and finished nearly last. There was another early 90's ford, and an 89 cheby there but they both had cummins swaps. The "stock event" was pretty fun, but it's funny because I've never seen an OBS smoke so much and beat a programed LBZ So something was fishy with some of those trucks.

Ok here's the story.

I pulled into the parking lot and was driving around looking at all of the trucks and low and behold I found a platinum that was bought NEW in michigan and when the guy moved east, he brought it with him! So I parked one truck down from him and was shootin the chit with it and turns out he lives about 30 min from me. He was out there tailgating with about 10 other people. Anywho, he got my # so I could do some stuff to his truck and headed into the arena. Little did I know but this will be one time where my "openness" to talk and offer help to other people really paid off.

I got a call just before the last event from the guy saying "dude you better get out here, someone just jumped out of a truck and broke your head lights, security is trying to chase him down."

Well I get out to my truck and there's a crowd standing around it. About 5 people saw the person get out of the truck, smack the front of my truck, hop back into the truck and haul azz out of the buck through the backway. THe person was described as "small in stature and looked to be small in the pants" hahaha... jk jk...

The security said they were sorry and wished they could have prevented this, but they were dealing with an accident at the other entrance where a truck hit an Amish horse and buggy and the horse was put to sleep in the middle of the road. Understandable, and one of the kids got a partial plate, make, model and approx year and the officer said his system to run that stuff was down and that they would see what they come up with and give me a call back.

Sooooooooooo I'm getting an estimate at my uncle's body shop tomorrow and might just be getting all the 05+ stuff now

Thanks azzhats
