Two-Ways for Convoying

I already talked to Marty and Nate....

But, I was at Costco with the wifey and picked up a three pack of Motorola Talkabouts. The long range ("up to 18 mi") ones. They came with belt clips, ear buds, three set charger and batts for $79.99.

Couldn't pass that one up! I might pick up another set if the budget allows later so we'll have 6 total for shows or the track.

Also, they should work woth Marty's pair.

Joe, I thought about a CB, but no real good place to put one. And I don't think any of the other guys around here have 'em either.

I've got a CB and a set of two walkie talkies that probably won't work with those sets.
Sounds like you got a good deal on those!

Actually, the basic 14 channel FRS radios can work with those, but you may get more cross talk from someone else on the same channel...

Eric, Those are the exact same ones that we use when we all drive out to the dunes together!!! Cool deal, man!

Well, as long as Rick and Marty remember theirs (and charge them!)...looks like we are set for most of our convoys.

Think my set would work from the airplane?

Those are great to have Eric.
