MAP Bylaws
We started a creation of bylaws for MAP specifically, it's in a rough draft but it should be a good start. Most of the stuff can be covered by the .orgs chapter bylaws but I added some of our own mainly for membership requirements. Feel free to comment, and or post a suggestion. It would be nice to have as much input as possible.
Mid-Atlantic Powerstrokers’ bylaws BOARD OF DIRECTORS: MAP bylaws will cover briefly the three major positions are needed to be filled in the MAP Board of Directors (BOD). These positions are as followed, Director; Assistant Director, and Historian. More Historians are eligible for attendance availability reasons. No explanation each of the positions is required as they are covered in the Powerstroke.org Chapter laws. EVENTS: MAP will be conducting 4 official meets in order to remain a Powerstroke.org chapter. Events will vary depending on general member consensus. There will be also non-official meets throughout the year that will be counted towards MAP membership as well. MEMBERSHIP: MAP is composed of all the Mid-Atlantic Continental States, and allowing up to 150 miles below Virginia’s northern border, and 150 miles north of Pennsylvania’s southern border. Special request will be into consideration for members from West Virginia. There is no application needed for acceptance as long as the applicant is eligible via location. Members of MAP are required to follow all guidelines of the Powerstroke.org chapter and forum rules,. MAP Members will be expected MAP members are also required to participate in 1 MAP event for the year, official or not. Last edited by Lord Tauk; 03-22-2008 at 05:47 PM. |

That's a great start Dave! As far as meets go explain what are official and non-official.

Official would refer to the 4 meets per year to meet the Org requirements. Actually in my book any meet that is posted in a thread is official. If two or three of us go to the track or wrench on a truck and don't invite anyone else it's not official, but things like the April 12 track meet would be "official".
Basically we need to have at least 25% of our members together at least 4 times per year. |
