Mid-Michigan Tornadoes 6/8/08

I survived. Did you? I'm in Grand Blanc/Flint MI. There was about 14 different rotaions and a funnel a few miles away and OF COURSE it all happens when I'm at my friend's trailer park . My mom was completely freaking out. Some shingles got ripped up and a couple big trees came down. And in another town a roof got ripped off a barn. 70mph winds. Scary stuff.

Oh man sounds like you got the storms that hit down by me last night, Had a tornado touch down about five miles from my house and the clouds were moving in circles above my house. The tornado was expected to pass through my town like ten minutes after it touched down but it moved across Lake Michigan instead so Im guessing its the same storm. Glad to hear you guys are ok though.

Our power got knocked out. Friggin around 5pm Sunday until 6pm Wednesday. My mom and I had to go up north (150 miles away, right into another batch of storms) to pick up our generator which the ONE time we leave it with our camper . We left at 10:30pm and got home around 3:30am. Down in Willis, MI there's trees down all over, BIG trees. So I didn't get hit the hardest with storms but mostly rotations. It was friggin scary looking outside and watching a wall of night and wind and rain come at you at 60mph, REALLY cool though.

I just got a call from my friend in the Houghton Lake area, their basement gave ..... they are homeless as I write this (I so wish I was there to help).

She said you can stand there are watch all the walls move and that the house is getting ready to cave.
