Shop recommendations / reading codes SE MI

Can anyone recommended repair shop in the SE Michigan area, or more specifically, near the Monroe area, that is skilled in diagnosing 7.3 problems? I have an SES light that was intermittent, and now has become constant, along with a miss/shaking/loss of power. Tried a few of the easy things (CPS, ICP), to no avail. Looking for someone that can scan our trucks, so I know what codes are being thrown before I continue my guessing game.

If not an independent shop, can anyone recommend a Ford dealer that is reputable for working on diesels? If I'm going to pay stealership prices, I'd like to at least come away with reliable info. Thanks for any recommendations.

Also, I read a few posts advertising American Diesel in Jonesville, MI. However, the apparent owner, 'fordmasterdieseltech' last logged on 9/29/10. Anyone know if they are still in business and/or worth driving out to?

Miss, shaking, loss of power & a CEL kinda sound like under valve cover harness gone bad or maybe an IPR. Send a PM to Bigcountry on here, he lives down that way & has AE.

UVCH was going to be my next guess based on what I've read, but sure would like some evidence of that before I pull the valve covers. I will shoot bigcoutnry a PM, thanks for the advice!

Edit: Because I hate reading diagnostic posts that never reach a conclusion, I don't want to be guilty of the same. bigcountry generously scanned my truck with AE, two cylinders on the passenger bank had poorly respondnig injectors. Pulled the valve cover, and the UVCH connector was hanging on for dear life to the cover gasket connection. Replaced the harness, noting that the new plug had a much more positive fit, and truck was back to normal.

Ok for dealership I would go to Spirit ford in Dundee, I have used them on several occassions and have been happy with there service. Before I got AE I would pay them for diagnostic and if it was something I could handle in my shop I would do it myself.

As for your truck being scanned give me a call. I sent you a pm with my number.
