i bought this truck with a 8" lift (i was Told) and i love the way i looks but it is as rough as it could be. pulled one set of shocks from the front and its not as violent but still to rough.
could i split some of the leafs out to get a smother ride?
its a 1997 F350 crew 8' bed . running 35s
:dunno:
if its a 97,then yes, they ride rough stock let alone lifted. You would improve the ride by doing a spring hanger reversal kit .It switchs the hanger from the rear of your front springs to the front like it should have been from the factory.I don't know why Ford switched them around. They run it the right way back in the 70's and then switched in the 80's to your style. Then they switched back to the right way on the superdutys.Offroad unlimited makes a kit for your truck and I have heard good things about it.I would start there and get you some bilstein shocks and I bet it would ride a lot better.
