ok well this is pretty hard to explain and i really have no idea what the actual problem is but it started not to long ago. what happened was i got my truck back from ford after they were finished doing some brake work on the rear brakes and they also checked out my hubs while my truck was there (i doubt that the hubs have to do with the problem but idk i could be wrong) and i was driving down this road at about 40 mph and there were a few minor pot holes i guess you would call them and out of no where right after i ran over one the front passanger side of my truck wheel, brake, tire, or something in that area started making some noise that sounded like a racoon screaming for its last breath over and over and over and over again so at first i thought it was an animal. so i started slowing down and once i got down to about 15 mph it just stopped. i looked back for blood but there was none so i knew it wasnt an animal and i began to assume something was wrong. later on that day i was driving down the same street and it started making the same noise agian and again, it didnt stop screaming until i slowed way down so i tried to stay off that road but now it will happen on minor bumps in the road like going over a bridge or just anything minor, it even happened on the high way once at about 70 so i pulled to the shoulder and it stopped again once i got the truck to about 20 mph or 15 or so. it only does it when im driving and it is very random the weather wasnt odd or anything and it happens if the ground is wet or dry idk if its something rubbing or grinding or what the hell it is at all but if any of you guys have any ideas or any opinions on what is happening and/or what i should do before i take it somewhere please let me know before something bad happens. if you guys could help me out i would greatly appreciate it thanks guys :(:tard::dunno::confused::help:

sounds like a front wheel bearing to me. or the front brake caliper is loose or something. i would take it back to the servicing dealer if possible. does it stop doing it when you press the brake pedal?
in any case it really does not matter. it should be returned to where the work was done.

it stops after i have used the brakes to slow down to 15mph but not if i just press the brake. so you think it could be a wheel bearing?

It could also be the center support bearing on the rear driveshaft. If you have one that is.

Crawl under the truck and if you see a bearing supporting the driveshaft. Grab the driveshaft and push up and down. If there is play then the bearing is bad and needs replacing.

Mine was bad and I thought it was a wheelbearing as well.

To add to what Scott said there will be a little play from the factory. But not much
