Can't compare to SCT as I have never been in a truck with one, but I installed a Juice Platinum w/ Attitude last night, and very impressed so far. Easy to install, already notice increased mileage, and more power (noticably more on stage 3, haven't gone above that yet). I really like the fact that it has gauges built in, comes with the EGT probe, and has alarms if temps/boost gets higher than you want. I was looking for a simple plug in and forget it type system, I don't like messing with too much stuff, so I like this.

Uh huh, the problem with those types is that they truly don't tune the ECM and TCM, so your are actually exponentially increases the chances of pretty big issues with your truck. Shift on the fly is a dangerous novelty for this newer trucks(6.0s and up), I don't care if it's a tuner that offers it(triple dog or the PMT) or modules(juice and other products out there). In order for a tune to truly program the ECM and TCM, you have to cycle the key(like rebooting a computer when you load a new program on there), if you don't then the computer really doesn't know what's going on and is just getting modified signals from the module. In the case of tuners using shift on the fly, they use variable fueling tables.

By the way, how did you notice a mileage increase? Thru the computer or did you hand calculate it, but be that as it may, I doubt you did more then one tankful if you just installed it last night and that really isn't enough to get a true average of increased mileage. Any one thing could have helped you get better mileage and that one reading was a fluke.

Id never put one on my truck. I like my transmission too much. Also, you can get a custom tuned SCT and gauges for around the same price as an edge. SCT tunes the trans as well as loaoding a new program into the trucks computer of just running different fueling tables. I ran a banks box when i first started my truck and thought it was the great until I rode in a buddys custom tuned truck. Towing my boat, a 26 regulator weighing like 7000 lbs this thing had my computer saying I was getting 25 MPG! I never saw the truck getmore than 12 mpg or so in stock form. talk about fooling the computer
