no sh$t where on the engine does it go. as in where does it thread into. i have an aftermarket guage and i need to know where can i thread the sending unit in at.
I'd guess on a T from the original sender, which is on the top of the HPOP reservior. Looking at the front/top of the motor the reservior is dead centre, has a small allen keyed bung to the right and the sensor to the left.
if you are wanting ro run a manual gauge alot of people tie into the oil filter adaptor ,right above the oil filter ,there is already a plug there to pull out and use, and youre factory stays the same
hey i took the plug out on the HPOP oil reservoir the plug next to the ac compressor. There is a sensor with one wire in it going into the reservoir...thats the oil pressure for the dash...i took the inspection plug out which is only about 6 inches away from that and has an allen head. I just went down to ACE and got some fittings...its a strange fitting....and tied it in and now the guage works good and you can check on it to make sure its not leaking...if the guage has a mechanincal sending unit...but i imagine that it would work with a n electric sending unit as well
Thanks turbodude, I think I'm going for the adapter down below though, just to keep it tidy hahaha.
Gord.
