I am looking to replace my stock rotors wich are warped and am thinking of replacing them with some of the aftermarket slotted and crossed drilled rotors. has anyone used these and are they worth the money what is the best kind to buy and where. i tow a gooseneck loaded heavy and it takes a toll on my rotors. thanks for any help:icon_ford:
I have the slotted cross drilled rotors and hawk pads on my 02. It has an 8" lift with 37s. I tow my boat, maybe 3.5 - 4k. IMO, I would say it helped, but didn't make a HUGE difference.
have you changed to SS braided lines as well? those will def make a big diff.. the stock ones bulge out under heavy braking. the SS braided lines dont and will give you better stopping power
what about the durability of the powerslot rotors and pads? I want to make the step up to them only if they are going to last a whole lot longer than the normal rotors.
will they warp like the stock ones during heavy towing and abuse and what is the cryo rotors meen i have heard they are frozen or something like that what is the bennefit of this
Cryo rotors are Cryogenically frozen which makes them way stronger. They will also resist warping a lot more than stockers
