I have a 2003 F250. I have some dings and I want to touch them up, but I can't figure out what the official name of my color is. I checked the door tag and the color is worn off of the tag.
You could stop by the paint shop and have them scan a flat panel of your truck with a prophet (sp?) color scanning tool. Then they could mix up a half pint of GOOD touch up paint- duplicolor crap sold at the autoparts stores isn't as good, IMO
the door sticker should give you a code right? then you can take that code to an auto parts store and buy the touch up paint. at least mine has the paint code on it......but mines an OBS maybe they changed it
Oh sweet, I drove that truck, it was rather nice! The only thing I didn't like was the short bed. I've bought a vehicle from them before, and they're rather nice people. Good luck with it man!
I agree with the dealer - On-line VIN Decoders show some stuff, but doesn't show a paint code. The dealer can probably cross-reference it to something that would tell them.
looks like paint code CX. i paint for a living so I kinda know which is which, lol.
