I have had a break in communication (on truck start-up) between the DD and the truck if I shut the truck down and leave the DD on. I just restart the DD and it's fine. Never had the DD lose signals and have to rescan, though.:dunno:

Sounds like you need to contact DrewTech tech support. Once the signals have been scanned, you should not have to rescan for signals even if your DashDaq was left on.

Remember, when you do shut the truck off you should also put the DashDaq into sleep mode, or power it off... That way it will pick up the signals after it's turned back on.....

DD

I did what Mick said and now my auto shut off seems to work, but, I noticed going down the road sometimes my gauges will go off and on for short periods of time, not all the gauges at the same time,I think I have 5 gauges and maybe 1 will go off for a second or 2, then maybe 2 or 3 will go off for a second or 2. I tried to log it but it wouldn't do it when I was logging.might have to send it to drew tech for a check-up. what say you all. thanks

I really don' t think it's because of the auto power off feature, but I still see things that I have not ran into before. On mine, if I set it up say to 30 seconds, it will power down 30 seconds after I turn the truck off. About 9 seconds before it powers down it displays it on the screen. If you want to cancel the auto power down, just touch the screen.

Not that I can remember. I have heard of some that their DashDaq was intermittent, but those were powering off, then on. I think you may need to contact DrewTech to see what they have to say about it. If you find something out, please let me know...... Always trying to learn everything that I can about the DashDaq.....
