I have a 2003 7.3L Powerstroke with about 114,000 miles on it. I noticed that it was starting to use quite a bit of more oil than normal. I checked for leaks and assumed it was probably burning it since it wasnt leaking any. Then one day the truck died on me. I couldnt figure out what was wrong with it so i took my fuel filter out thinking maybe it was plugged up. I pulled the filter out of the housing and it was completely covered in oil. I drained my fuel tank completely and pulled my dipstick out and rubbed the oil on my fingers and it smells like it has diesel in it also. Im not sure how this happened and everyone i have asked about it has no idea. Finally someone told me it could be my injectors. So i replaced them, but i still have the same problem. I changed the oil and my fuel filter when i changed the injectors out and my fuel filter already has more oil on it and there seems to be diesel in my oil again. The only other thing that i can possibly think of would be my injector sleeves but i wanted to get some advice before i spent the money to try and fix it because i dont wana end up wasting my time and money like i did with my injectors. Thanks for the help.
