What bypass filter setup is best for the 6.0, you know reasonable price, quality filtration and readily available filters that do a good job. Any suggestions on brand as well as best place to buy. I know I should've done a search but I'm getting ready to do a change and wanted some input.
Thanks for any help!
I have an fs-2500 on my 6.0 and my buddy has the oil guard on his cummins, at 3000 miles my oil is still clear, and for my buddies oil 600 miles after an oil change is not even close to being as clean as mine. I know its not apples to apples but it is a good comparison.
Keep in mind the cummins makes alot more soot than the power stroke and the duramax. A true test is not the color test. But I agree, I had the amsoil by pass on my cummins and loved it. I am going to instal one on my ford too
The BMK21 is the Amsoil product. The Franz can be found here. It offers reduced cost with the trade off being ease of changing.
