ok just bought the truck recently (see other threads) anyway not sure if this truck has ABS the light comes on on the dash when i start it then goes out brakes seem fine but yesterday it rained for the 1st time in weeks and the roads where really greasy and everytime i braked hard at stop light etc it locked the wheels up and slid, which caught me of guard as all my other vehicles in past 10 years have had abs, could there be a prob with the system and how can i find out if it really does have abs .(i'm sure thats prob a stupid question)
Thanks.
Mark
what year if its a 97 its only rear anti-lock
front will slide but you should feel a slight pulsating of the pedal
if not then theres something wrong
it does theres a sensor coming of the read diff and has two wires goin to it thats the speed sensor
yeah its a 97 and you know it did feel like just the fronts locked up , its to dark to go check those wires, speed sensor etc but i'll check in the AM.
Thanks Man.
when it rains my back tires will lock up til it stops a few times even after i replaced the broken axle seal
