So I unplugged my EGR valve today and the coolant puked out more than ever like 3/4 of the degas bottle in 15 miles... I have no idea what the reasoning bheind it is.... I am gonna take the EGR valve and clean it real good.... I hope it is the cooler! -Jim
if its wet or damp or if there is dampness inside the intake I would point to an EGR cooler, however your temps wouldn't indicate a EGR cooler. BUT digital gauges aren't always the most accurate.
I hate the outlook I need to set my SCT up to do data logging. I just burned my hand 546456 times so I am getting some gloves.... lol thanks for all the help man.
No I never cleaned it. I just got the truck 4k miles ago. I was going to clean it last week but the wifes car broke down. No telling how long it has been without cleaning. But I did take it to the dealer and they said they checked/cleaned the whole EGR system. Guess that is a falsehood. Good thing it is under warranty! Im just tired of this damn thing puking coolant everywhere and cant wait until the 100k mark so I can delete it.
