Hey All,
I was just thinking about how to avoid problems with a 6.0L and maintence came to mind.

I dont drive my truck that much, i changed the oil when I got it, and havent driving the truck but 1,000miles. Gonna change it every 3,000-5,000. is that good?

Truck has 57,000 miles, thinking about doing a trans flush? just to be safe, do you guys think this is neccasary?

Fuel Filter, have a frame rail one to put in, havent yet, and i need to drain the water?

Im just wanting to avoid any problems? Any suggestions from you experts? You guys have great advice

5K to 6K is ok for oil changes. Keep it clean .... your injectors count on it. I change my primary and secondary fuel filters regularly. I also check for water in primary every 3-4 months. Ya just never know what yer pumping. As mentioned "EGR". May want to clean it yearly. Better Yet......... Delete It!!!!!

Keep it clean till ya can afford to delete.
Stump did the best write up if seen. Two small bolt..... get two lady foot pry bars and rock it back and forth till she pops. Don't submerge to clean it. Clean with toothbrush etc. and I THINK CARB CLEANER IS OK. Not to use brake cleaner!! CORRECT ME IF WRONG FELLAZ on that note

Alright American powerstroke people..I am totally aware of the EGR delete benefits..indeed it is the prudent thing to do..but totally "illegal" here in envirostan not to mention it will void my excellent warranty..so I suppose that one should only do the EGR delete are indeed any other "mods" to their vehicle if any "issues" as a result directly or indirectly of those "mods" would more than likely rule invalid the warranty (they we truck owners pay for one way or another with the purchase of said truck). So..I suppose that keeping my F350 totally stock till I rack up the K's or years (I don't put on that many K's) is right for most in a warranty "pays" situation.
