I just picked up the fittings to put my home made HPO X-over line on my truck. Fittings were hard for me to find. Napa only had one but I ended up finding an additional 100 or so at a fittings shop that I didnt even think of for less then Napa.

Cross your fingers and lets hope that my being a cheap *** does not bite me in the arse!

Well I just got done with my test drive. The whole install took me a total of 15 minutes to do. I ran it in stock form and with my 2.2K resistor in to try and get it to leak and it held tight.

I wont tell you how much I have invested in this because it will just piss off everyone that bought theres on line:hehe:

My fittings, sorry about the crappy pics.

The hose I made! Its a lil long but I was able to route it away from the heat better!

Notice any difference?

Smoother idle at least?

Smoother, quieter, and slightly more responsive.:thumb:
Looks professional:thumb:
Thanks dude
Did you make the line or did you have it made? I want to make one also. I like your setup.
I made it. I have access to all the hose and fittings I could ever want. That iis till I move to Lawton in 4 months!

Not gonna piss me off. I have a hydraulic hose crimper and can make those hoses all day long cheap! The fittings are in stock on my service truck also. HMMMM Maybe I should make some of these and offer them at a realy great price at the GTG. JJ

I wonder if they would sell well on ebay. I would offer them on here but I cant!

Great job… Looks like a quality set-up! :thumb: Do you have any pics of how it looks installed? I’m curious as to how you choose to route the hose. I was considering doing this mod to my 02 7.3. Has anyone ever experienced any negative side effects/results by doing this mod to the 7.3?

I dont have any pics of it installed but I routed it under the spider up by the fuel bowl and then back under the spider to the other bank. I have never heard of any negative side effects but it does equal out the preasure making the truck run smother and its slightly more responsive!

It's just a hose that goes from the high pressure oil rail in one head to the other. This helps ballance the pressure in the heads. #6 and #8 injectors fire right after each other in the fireing order and they are right next to each other in the head. It's thought that the 2nd one fireing is drawing oil from a rail depleated from the first one fireing so the corss over is supposed to help get oil to that corner of the head and help it run smoother.

Sounds better, but it idles smother and seams to be a lil more responsive!

Everyone skips to the end and then asks. Its cool. I just copy and paste now. I admit that I do it sometimes!

1/4ID, 5000PSI at like 14" long is what I used:thumb:

I would prefer a hardline set up, but I have seen hardlines leak as well. So send me a PM if you want to make one for me.
