My friend has a 7.3 with tunes and stg 1's and can hit 35-40 while towing. The problem is that it is also making 1500 degrees at that point.

I have stage 1s...with a chip on extreme i see all the way to 35-40. I normally let off at around 30 to save the turbo. On stock setting i only see about 22 psi with stage 1s. To get good boost i have to be running tunes. My Tow setting is great on EGTs.

35psi is not a big deal for these truck's stock turbo, they are most efficient at 25psi and going over that may shorten their life. 2 of my trucks lived for a while at 35+ psi of boost. Another truck that belonged to a friend of would swing 40-44psi on the stock turbo with some Swamps 175/xxx injectors, that was for 3 years and he sold the truck with the original turbo on it still working fine.

Ive seen 35-40 psi on my stock turbo, with my 1's and the EDGE programer. Hard on it goin up a pretty steep hill. It is about 1400*, so i try to stay away from it. But it is true ! :icon_ford:

I know mine isnt a '94 but I make over 35lbs on my stock turbo only running a resistor!

With no tuner and stage 1s you can get anymore psi then stock. With is around 20 for obs trucks. You need tunes to get more Psi...his turbo is different or he is makin up a story lol

Maybe his boost gauge is messed up...i guess i cant acuse him of a story when a bunch of stuff could happen. My uncles boost gauge messured about 55 psi but it was really only about 30...it was messed up.
