I have a 2006 F250 Fx4 and my stock tires are 33.2"H x 10.8"W on factory 18" rims. I want to put a 2" leveling kit with a 1" block on the rear. I cant go much higher due to my towing needs. I do want to get wider tires that are about the same height. 325x60r18's are 33.4x12.8 and generally it says the narrowest rim I can use is 8.5". Has anybody run this size tire on a factory 18x8 forged wheel and what was the result? Thanks
If you want that wide of a tire you need the right width wheel. You will run into a poor wear pattern over the life of the tire. I ran 325/65/18s on a 8.5" Weld and it wasn't wide enough, you need a 9-10" wide wheel for tires over 12" wide to wear correctly.
For the front you could get some 6-7k Lbs snow plow springs. It may impact ride quallity but then that's what shocks are for. New higher rated front springs and a spacer amy help you clear any rubbing issues with the new tires.
How much rear lift would be too much for your towing needs? You can swap in a F350 block which will give you an 1"+ boost in the rear. You might could get away with a 5" rear block jus to keep the sagging look away when loaded.
I know a 5" rear block seems huge over what you posted, I have the 5" rear block so I use a 4" and a 6" drop hitch with no issues to my trailers.
I am running 325/60/R18's but went with an 18x9 rim. Heavy Assault is right. You can run it the way you are thinking, but your tires will wear prematurely.
PS. I went with the Icon leveling kit in the front and didn't change the blocks in the rear; I installed my air bags and keep them about 20psi to maintain a level look. I tow a 12k lb 5th wheel and it tows perfectly with my setup. Good luck with your decision.
