My truck is going in for head gaskets and the dealer will put in ARP's . My ? is what else to do? The tech recommended a bunch of things:
*Fuel regulated return (is ITP's a good kit?)
*Egr delete (I have a sneeky pipe to go in, is that good enough or should I get the full kit from Elite?)
*Coolant circulation lines for the heads (is this nessary?)
*An ITP update for the HPOP (is this necessary on an 07?)
The heads will be checked for flatness and magnafluxed. The truck is a work truck that is loaded every day to about 12,000 lbs. I run Erics ASE tune daily and a tow tune when towing anything big (my dunp trailer can be 10,000 lbs. GCVW or 21-22,000 lbs). I am not looking for a race truck just a good reliabe worker that is a little fun to drive. Thanks for any input you folks might have.

Very good kit. I use it on mine. I would suggest an in-cab fuel psi gauge as the one that comes with the kit stays under the hood and that doesn't help you much going down the road.

If your not going to be pumping more fuel by adding modified injectors then the mods that you have put up should give you a pretty darn reliable truck.
I run the ITP kit and would highly recommend it. best to do it while the cab is off, instead of on like it did (it was a PITA). I'd also highly recommend the EGR delete since it will be all apart anyway. I don't know much about Elite's kit but I do like this one 6.0L EGR Cooler Delete I have no experience with the other things you mentioned.
Thanks Tex. I do have a fuel psi gauge in the cab now and my fuel psi can get down to 20 psi at WOT so I think that a R.R. will help. Tex do you have a aftermarket fuel pump( Airdog/Fass ) on your truck with your mods. The head coolant lines are cheap ($150)and they have to be done when the heads are off so I think I will do them.
Yes, I run the FASS 150/180 pump. I believe they have a bigger one now, but this was the biggest at the time that I did the install. I didn't need that big because I was running relatively mild modified injectors, but I truly believe that it is better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it.
I don't have a fuel crossover line so I can't speak to that, but I do want to say that when you run the a/m pump with the RR kit be sure to drop the regulator down 2 psi to allow some fuel to "purge" back into the system. In other words ITP recommends around 60 psi, you put it on 58 psi if your running it with(in my case) a FASS system.
