Ok so im looseing coolant at a large rate, but i cant see a large amount of coolant leaking on the ground. My guess is the headgasket is leaking. I talk'd to ford and my 05 psd is still under the factory warranty. The only problem i have now is that my truck has a bullydog triple dog program in it, but my programmer was stolen out of my truck a few mounth's ago. I guess my question is how do i get the programm out of my truck so that the ford guys wont see it and tell me to fork over 4000$ canadian for this fix. Im begging anyone out there with any usefull information to help me out. Thanks guys
and somehow make sure they don't log it in the trucks oasis report... Either take your chances with that or try to find a "mod friendly" dealership that won't care about the programmer.
Well i talk'd to a buddy of mine and he said that if i get another programer and reset to stock, the program would atomaticaly reset to the factory default settings. And to cover the program flash you say that you recently changed the batterys (Because this will cause the computer to flash). However i am working on a mod friendly dealership, we'll have to see how that goes. Do they always check if the trucks been chip'd?
That's not how it works, unfortunately. When a programmer flashes your computer it stores whatever program is written in your trucks computer and over writes it with a new program. A new programmer will NOT contain YOUR stock programming. This is also how a programmer VIN locks to your specific vehicle and why no one else can use that programmer unless it's first returned to "stock" condition OR unlocked by the manufacturer.
I know that some Diesel shops can flash it back to stock. I know the ones around here are even connected to Oasis. They did not even charge me last time. hope this helps!!
