2002 f250 7.3 Once and a while after making a turn and bringing the steering wheel back to the center. The steering seems to wobble back and forth to the left and right, and then after a couple blocks it stops. It may do it once a week or several times in one day. Tried changing the power steering fluid, seems to have helped a little. Thinking maybe weak power steering pump, steering gear box or steering wheel position sensor. Any suggestions would help out a lot. Its driving me crazy! Thank you.
I am dealing with a similar issue on my 2002 F250... After investigating a little underneath, I found a bent steering stabilizer, but also found too much play in the tie rod joint that connects to the pitman arm. I am in the process of replacing both this week.
Yes, it seems like only when I make a sharp turn. It may do it once and not do it again for another week of two.
